Evo VIII dyno
Just in case people forgot what a tuned mostly stock Evolution puts down on 91 octane. Here is a dyno from a 107k mi. 2003 Evo VIII with an HKS Hi-Power cat back exhaust and a 3 port boost solenoid tuned at FFTEC on their Mustang dyno. It went to and held boost at 21 psi to the redline. It is a conservative tune because of the mileage and I like to do HPDE track days once or twice a month.

golgo13: Hey thanks. I like the FFtec dyno because it's so conservative. Whats funny is that I have buddies who are down on the cars dyno numbers and wonder 'whats wrong'? They think I should be disappointed. I'm not at all. I know it's safe and I can track it with little worry that it will have a problem.

We shall see, hoping to get my build done this year.

Daniel uses his car for Drag Racing and also for Hill climb in Colombia we he has been involved in racing for several years .
So our 91 Octane tune is finished , Next up this week a Race gas Tune

We have the Results on the Race Gas Tune, and here is a comparisson between Pump Gas and Race Gas.... Very Nice, Congratulations Daniel...

Update: 2003 Evolution VIII now has 113k miles. Back to FFTEC and their Mustang dyno. I upgraded to a standard FP 71HTA along with an Invidia O2 housing, dented up 3" downpipe, Milspec cat. converter, and FIC 850cc. injectors. Results are 301rwhp 296ft-lbs. 26-27lbs. boost, 11.0 AFR's
It is now obvious that the stock IC and pipes along with the stock cams are holding me back. I'm not sure I want to go any further, it's something I will have to think about. I always planned on getting another car this summer, that's why I'm hesitant to keep buying parts, no matter how fun.

Were the injectors really needs for that power level, or do you not have an upgraded fuel pump? Over in the 'What injectors do I need' thread it seems people move up toward 400whp before they go static if they have a Wally 255, etc.

Is this a stock 8 turbo car? Looks too laggy and has way too much power. Stock pump and injectors too? Maybe someone could update the mod list?
