TPG should have results. They've had a Zero on their shop car for over a year.

IMO anything bigger than an FP Red is kind of dumb. Just switch to a t3 turbo. Unless you need 600+ hp and to pass smog I don't see the point.
My full hot parts kit and 6466 was under 3k brand new.
I'm making 550/385 on STM dyno on a stock motor and I've been in for rides plenty of times in my friends 490/430 2.3 fp black car and my car feels WAY faster and sounds better and pulls a lot harder up top.
There's no more snky snky "stock turbo" after going past the black

Makes sense you are prob making peak power at near redline

The black makes it much earlier and falls on its face anywhere near 7500+ I'd imagine unless we are talking a fully ported large cam motor..but that applies to like 10% of black users.

Go T3 or divided T4 is you want a 4k+ power and made for straight line racing

My buddy made the same amount of power and more torque than you on his FP black. Stock Evo VIII block & head.

And that was with a stock ported exhaust manifold and Evo IX turbine housing, not the new stainless V-band one.

My car also traps 140. I was just comparing dyno numbers of cars on dynos that I know the numbers are similar
I just think turbos bigger than the red are trying to do too much with an in effecient design

Yeah a black is probably about 3k-7500 where as a t3 35r + is about 4500-8500

It depends on the all Around setup. A big motor like a 2.3 or 2.4 with lower FD would probably be pretty fun. It will more than likely always be slower from a roll on the street or 1/4 mile but I am assuming you didn't build your car for that if you pick that setup

Also the simplicity of installing the FP turbos is easier than any T3/T4 turbo. They bolt-on like a factory turbo.

The only issue I can say is with the new stainless housing where either you buy the downpipe from map performance (fathouse has already stopped making them), or get one made. FP is working on making a cast O2 housing like they offered for the 3065 for DSM's if anyone knows what I'm talking about that you can bolt your exisiting down pipe to soon.

Unless you're looking for 800+ whp you can't go wrong with any of the FP turbos in my opinion. It all boils down to what you want, how far you're willing to go, and how much you're willing to spend.

Are you people high or just stupid? I paid 3200 for a t3 kit from ETS with a tial 44mm wastegate and a (GUESS WHAT) FORCED PERFORMANCE HTA3586 including lower intercooler piping AND an intake and all lines. And guess what it bolted up with NO "small" fitment issues what so ever. Granted I got a deal on my kit since ETS lost the damn turbo I was buying and hooked me up but to say that this is simpler or "less expensive" then buying a kit for MAP or ETS or from Buschur (Log T3 manifold) is full blown retard. The proper T3 kits are EASY because from ETS they COME pre installed to the manifold, o2 houisng, fittings ALREADY have teflon tape on them and I dont have to go to some ****ing redneck with a welder and spend another random few hundred dollars on non mandrel bent piping. Seriously I take nothing away from Forced Performance (Ive owned 3 of there turbos) and I think it would be EPICLY bad *** to have a stock location turbo capable of 800hp and i can throw a ****ing heatshield on and freak out all the honda kids but lets be real people. You blow up a T3 turbo you can buy another for a grand, you blow up this turbo your out 2500. Ask all the Journal Bearing FP red owners that didnt fork over the money for a 200$+ oil line.

exactly what i'm saying. FP, MAP, and BBK were all awesome because they were larger stock turbos. that meant you could literally bolt them right on with all your existing parts and grow from there. as a bonus, i could pass smog. they were a bit pricey.. but cheaper than a full t3 kit.
now, FP has taken themselves out of the game. they have given up the convenience aspect... and the price point.. and the stock-appearing benefit.. for what? to perform like a T3? i just don't get it. now it basically looks and works like a t3, performs like a t3 and cost just as much. but MUCH more $$$ to fix/replace.
i see absolutely no reason to buy these new turbos instead of a T3. for that reason, MAP and CBRD will get all our business until all the MHI housings are gone.
FP has a beautiful piece here, it just doesn't make any real sense to me.

well said. "to perform like a t3" MIGHT AS WELL BUY A T3 and make more power and have some bling...
