I would have to agree. Maybe I should have said, "to function as a t3 "? Meaning it's externally wastegated, needs a special downpipe, etc.

Your buddy did not make 550whp on a mustang dyno with a FPblack on a stock cam Evo 8. Didnt happen. STM's dyno is not "virtual dyno", it exists in reality. Unlike those power figures

GSC S2 cams, stock as in non-ported head and stock internals.

Arp head studs, new stock HG, every other bolt on. Pump gas + water meth.

Tom does good work but your intial post made it seem as if it was a stock Cam evo 8. S2's is a different story, anyway enough of the **** show lets seem some results.

Yeah I apologize if my comment was misleading, that wasn't my intentions I was simply stating that a FP stock appearing turbo can easily make as much power as most small T3 turbo kits on a Evo given the majority of peoples setups aren't extreme.

As soon ad I get a clutch, still trying to decide which one to go with. I'll have my FP Zero installed and see what it can make. I'll be limited to stock internals so I won't be able to mac it out. Just shooting for 550whp and under 450trq to save the stock rods from slinging out the block. I have all other supporting mods.

I have an Exedy triple that needs a rebuild if you want. For 300shipped. HD cover

I'm going with a single disc, I don't want a twin that has to be rebuilt periodically or the chatter of one. I don't drag race my Evo so it'll be fine.

My buddy that I mentioned earlier runs the ACT extreme pressure plate with the street disc on his Evo with the BB FP black. 31psi pump gas & water meth it made 554/445. No lockout issues.

I'm going to give the same clutch a try, if it does slip on me over time i'll switch to the sprung 6 puck.

yep. i have the disc with HD PP. i am at only 360-370wtq, though.. but it drives like stock, which i really like. i THINK, according to ACT's site, i'm on the edge of needing a 6 puck or heavier pressure plate. i may throw in a sprung 6 puck just in case. i don't daily the car, otherwise i woudln't even consider it.

the ONLY issue i've had with my HDSS is when i tried launching at the drag strip. it got a little.. hot. LOL

as for this infamous "lockout" issue, neither my friends nor i have ever had it. i'm not sure why some people experience it.

Thats the same thing my friend said, he's never had lockout issues with his ACT. Our other buddy (forum name Des) who has a Evo IX (680whp/can't remember trq) has on other Evo's hes owned. On his current Evo we've installed several different clutches. The last one was a modified Exedy twin HD. He now has the quartermasters race twin disc.

My car gets driven on weekends or every once in awhile so a single disc will be fine, i may race it a couple times a year.

i see nothing but trouble and constant rebuilds with twins. the single ACT holds more torque than my car makes, so i see no reason to deal with the hassle. my car only sees the race track, but no drag racing. so far, nothing but great results from my HDSS.
