ditch the rear E-Brake and get the hydraulic setup. less drag, 10lbs lighter then stock. i have been on it for a while and it works awesome. add that rear kit and your another 22lbs off.

i might do the fronts now too. when you get the kit weigh the rotor only if you can.

if my math is correct

stock front caliper is 10.5lbs.
my girodisc ultra light rotor is 13.0lbs.
23.5lbs per front corner. 47.0lbs total.

according to AMS's website
wilwood kit drops 32lbs ''22'' is rotational OFF STOCK BRAKES. that means each rotor is 11lbs. 2lbs lighter then my girodisc rotors. the caliper must weigh 5lbs per corner.

so in the front ill be dropping around 14lbs 4lbs being rotational. the rears i think are around the same. let me look.

rear girodisc ultra light is 9lbs. i do not know the factory rear caliper weight. but the wilwood kit is 22lbs lighter ''then stock'' 17 of which is rotational. that makes the rear rotors 8.5lbs and the calipers around 3.5lbs. now we need to get a rear caliper weight. seems the rears wont be worth much.

the hydraulic setup as far as I've seen can't be locked on. I park in neutral if on flat ground since I don't push my clutch in on starts. if there's a way to lock it I'd consider it for sure.

I'll try and remember to weigh it. i won't be installing it, or touching it, until May. I'm overseas right now. I'll look at STM's site, I think they break down the weights pretty good. I got the STM kit, not the one from AMS, i think it's slightly different, and according to their weights lighter. my memory could be wrong though

according to STM, the weights for their standard and scalloped rotors are such:

standard: 9.25lbs
scalloped: 6.55lbs

huh. and is it abs compatible, etc.? I need to look it up I think. untilizing the ebrake handle means evne though it's hydraulic, you still use the button like i currently do launching with the e-brake?

I don't know if it is abs compatible. Yes it works exactly like stock. Pull the handle and it locks. Push the button and it releases. That is how mine is setup.

Mine is the same as dans and worked perfect all year. I just tape the button at the track so I don't have to dick with releasing it and putting it down. I just open my hand and it falls. I did mine right as STM was releasing their kit. I made my own hard lines and I think I have $25 in parts on top of whatever STM sells the cnc staging brake for.

I also debated selling my ultras and running a wilwood setup in the rear. $ per lb at this point isn't worth it. For me it'll be seats, roof and exhaust to counter cage weight.

This is were I'm jammed up. I have the seats and I have a 12 lb exhaust. Your right on the price per lb for the rears over are current setup but I am out of options. I am going to get exact weights of the rears today and look into the brake man kits as well. Remember too some of the savings is rotation
