Post exact weights of weight reduction you have done!
I might take my cage out if the track gives me more Bs this year. I'll just do track rentals or something. Then I should be around 2750 range. I still plan to do the sunroof delete but i have no time to get it completed right now
My '03 Evo8 is now down to 2250 lbs without cage- confirmed weight on COBB Tuning's scales a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, I have to carry 350lbs of ballast this year to hit minimum weight for FP autocross (2600).
Post some detailed pics of the car, I'd love to see it, that's LIGHT!!!

I remember seeing pics of this car from a couple yrs ago & I think it weighed around 2500lbs or so...2250lbs is ridiculous!! Post pics please!
give us a list of what you have done. also to what extent you want the car to see. i am more then willing to share everything i did except my own secrets or someone else's who have asked me to keep it to my self.
right now my car sits at 2830 no driver and with a cage. thats 140lbs lighter then last year. i still can get another 60/75lbs out of it but my pocket needs to take a break. haha. i am on to the next stage of remodeling part of my house so big funds are cut for the car. with the new turbo and weight savings i expect huge gains so before i go nuts i want to see what it does.

-all ac stuff gone
-front and rear bumper supports gone
-sound deadening out all of it
-ams lightweight crossmember
-buschur moustache bar
-carbon fiber hood and trunk wingless
-entire trunk stripped even the springs for the trunk lol
-rear wiper assembly and tank
-fmic sprayer and stuff
-intake bracket and egr
-evap canister removed
-half size radiator with slim fan
-awd aluminum driveshaft
-buschur lightweight exhaust with test pipe
-buschur small battery
-aluminum intercooler piping
-steering column metal insert
-floor mats are out
-driver side air bag
-front wiper arms (still have motor)
-all oem seatbelts are gone (have harness bar with harnesses)
-torque solution motor mounts and tranny mounts(seem a little bit lighter)
-dust shields are gone
-all padding under carpet is gone
-front tower brace removed
-lightweight lugnuts
-d2 awd coilovers
-some wiring taken out under hood for unneeded stuff removed
As far as I know I can still do small brakes, carbon fiber roof(I still have sunroof), remove heater stuff, nrg or sparco seats, br lowering brackets, drop down to 15 inch wheels after small brakes, abs delete, remove passenger air bag, wiper motor in front, and the exhaust shields under the car. I would like to save the dash removal for the winter so what can I remove fairly easy at first and save the hard stuff for winter? Im trying to still have the street car image as its called haha but im sure in the end Ill change my mind. I dont really have any weight goals but just to be as light as possible without breaking the bank. Any help would be greatly appreciated. What all can be removed without removing the dash? I plan on the br lithuim battery when my dies and dont plan on a cage being its still a street car.
How much weight do you save removing your abs? Or converting acd to non-acd t-case while removing your pump/lines/computer? I hope to do these things a little down the road to clean up engine bay and cut some weight

Here’s a picture minus the front bumper cover, 5-lb carbon hood and carbon trunk. Roof is polished aluminum. There are some closeup pictures in the link found at post #324 on pg 22 in this thread. They were taken back in 2008 when most of the work was done and the car weighed around 2320. I've also described some of the details on pg 21-23. Wheels are 16x10", so you can see the car is quite low. Most of what’s been done since then has been small stuff to get to 2250lbs.

Lol nah I haven't weighed it yet I meant to the last time at the track and I forgot all about it cause I had some minor setbacks then I blew my headgasket haha. The car is in the shop now waiting for a headgasket to come in so this will be a good chance to get some more weight outta her. I guess I'll weigh next time out you really think 2800 range? I would prolly settle for that for now but wouldn't be able to sleep knowing I can get more out haha this thread has got me whipped. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Ima save all the big stuff for the winter
