I drive it all summer. And it depends on what kind of safe you speak of. Front end collision safe: it should hold fine. Its the same stuff people make cages out of, just a bit smaller. Since there no longer a crash beam, obviously you will cause more damage to the car.

Handeling/rigidy wise, its solid Stronger then stock for sure.

I'm sure it's perfectly fine, but I doubt it is stronger or stiffer then stock.

i really need to make my own thread i think. but i really have nothing cool to talk about because its all in this thread. anyways

thanks to MR Buschur for the help on the parts and the great idea to do this. i am not a fan of braided fuel line. so i ordered 20 feet of 3/8 SS hard line. it came in today so i started to build a full 3/8 SS fuel feed line. the job is completed except i need to flare one end which i am doing Friday. the line came out great. it is much much straighter then stock with 75% less bends. it is also shorter then the stock line. the ID of this line is the OD of the stock line. there is clearly a big difference.

while i was at it i actually modded the stock return line too. i was able to re route it. i also was able to remove a good foot of the line and all its bends. once the car is back together you will not see the return line at all. it will clean up the bay a hole lot.

being a weight savings thread. yes i weighed everything. the line i pulled off the line i put on the brackets i removed. weight savings. .4 lbs. yea boooooooy.

i was actually shocked it was heavier. the ATP 1.06 housing was 2lbs heavier then the PTE 1.15 housing. i was jumping for joy until i weighed the housing with the turbo VS the HTA86 and it came in heavier. lets hope this turbo can make up the difference in HP. haha

Ha, damn I feel ripped off now with my Tial housing GT30 being over 12 pounds. Ha. Their claim of 30% lighter sounds like BS as the single scroll housings should be a decent bit lighter then the TS. Oh well.

On the plus side though, 2 MV-S gates is only 5 pounds.

Beat me too it! I planned on having my set in this year with the cage but the engine build set me back until next year.
