really. WTF do we need that for?

No idea the pedal is already spring loaded and when the cable is hooked up it feels just like it did before.

Get it out of there

I'd love to take the stock tank and cut it in half to make a half tank. Plus have a -6 an bung welded to it for the return line. It would still hold 7 gallons or so I'd think.

Or you could contact Andrew @ http://www.frontlinefabrication.com and have him make you a bolt in stock location aluminum fuel cell that has the stock sending unit flange

i drive my car on the streets so my thought was to do the AEROMOTIVE 15 gall fuel cell with built in A1000 fuel pump. its lighter then stock yet is 15 gallon rather then 14. kinda a bonus for me.

cutting the stock tank would be nice but it wont hold enough fuel for me.

Realize the stock tank holds more fuel then you can use because of the saddle design.

Yeah, the "transfer nozzle" is there for when you are on flat ground but any corner load or acceleration will quickly put fuel back on the useless side and end up starving the pump. I never ran my stock tank lower then 1/4 tank, which was about 10 gallons out of it.

I think the actual tank holds closer to 17 gallons, even dropping to a 10 gallon tank you would still have roughly the same useable fuel load, but would cut about 40 pounds off the car compared to a full stock tank. The benefit though, you don't have to worry about starving the fuel pump when you run low on fuel.

I picked up a 5 gallon ATL vertical cell that weighs like 8 pounds. It is setup so I could swap it out in the future for a 12-15 gallon "well cell" with internal pump feeding an external surge tank for road racing.

The aeromotive fuel cell I was looking at has a built in fuel pump and baffling system as well. I'm guessing i will not need a surge tank either right.

Anyone know how reliable the A1000 fuel pump is.

Only down side I can see to this is not being able to use the stock fuel gauge to indicate fuel level.

^^^Awesome!!And you took my idea! haha...I already removed my ashtray but I am keeping the cup holders for now. Quick question, where did you get the .5mm carbon fiber sheet from? I looked on ebay for a bit but didn't find anything I liked...Let me know, thanks!

Just got my car weighed today with 1/2 tank of gas. 2003 Evo RS

Small battery, front crash beam removed, intercooler sprayer removed, egr removed, window washer system removed, Lighter exhaust, oil cooler delete

3100lbs exactly

3268 with me in it..

Now I need to figure out how to shave 100lbs to reach my goal weight.

One item is gonna be getting rid of is my massive megan radiator that holds 2.5 gallons of fluid. Getting a half rad with slim fan should shave a nice number off.
