SH10 3" Titanium piping with the same wall thickness weighs roughly 2.49 lbs/foot. About 43% lighter.

That's assuming you are getting a true titanium exhaust throughout the entire length. Some manufacturers claim its a titamium turbo-back exhaust system but only the muffler and tips are titanium. Just be a smart shopper and cover your bases before you commit to anything. For the cost, I would find more weight savings elsewhere for the same money I bet.

Ya i have definitely read into all the ones on the market... Most are crap. I already have all of buschur's weight reduction parts, pulled the dash apart, and everything else in this thread shy of drilling holes/ chopping the wiring harness haha

Just remember you can use a smaller wall thickness on the Ti tubing. My 3.5" ti is .042"

Collin at Toxic fab or ETS should be able to make an exhaust that works for you.

I need to go back through and read the last 20 pages or so since I haven't been following too close lately
I'm not baller enough for Ti, haha. Once things slow down some for Collin, we will be working on a light weight SST down pipe & an aluminum down pipe back exhaust for my car. Full v-band setup too...Should be a lot lighter then my current setup.

If you are after light weight, you sure as hell aren't using 0.120" wall tubing for an exhaust.

By Cost
0.065" Aluminum -> 0.704 lb/ft
0.035" 321 stainless -> 1.142 lb/ft
0.035" titanium -> 0.637 lb/ft

^ If i wasn't in a Ti kick...

I'd do an .035" wall 321 exhaust with 2 burns mufflers. 1 used inline and one at the end of the car.

Obviously whether or not spending big money on a full ti catback is "worth it" or not is a personal decision, but here are the exhaust weights I have documented:

OEM ’06 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 9 catback exhaust – 36.0 lb.
Agency Power 76 mm (3”) catback exhaust w ti muffler/tip, stainless piping, w/ hardware – 21.48 lb.
Mine’s ti 80 mm catback exhaust w/ hardware (2 tension springs) – 11.52 lb.
DIY mild steel 3” turndown pipe with 02 bung, total length 18 1/2" from flange to tip – 4.22 lb.

I have been using a 3.5 dp back aluminum exhaust with a Ti muffler for 2 years now without issue. Just go with aluminium. Cheaper then Ti but weighs nearly the same.
