Question

Hello. I got this system to put on my wife's car for Christmas but am running into a headache getting it installed as there are no Viper authorized dealers with 200 miles.

I have shops that could install it, but the install guide says it has to be programmed with some proprietery system of Viper's called "Bitwriter". How did you get yours installed and working without this system? Did you instructions not call for their use as well?

Thanks in advance!

-Ryan

Finally got around to getting this thing installed. It's on the bare minimum right now and still need to hookup:

-Siren (any recommendations on location??)
-RS (need to get PKU MIT and relay)
-Trunk wire (Should be Grn/Org, but I still can't locate it... Any help? Anything closer to the J/B?)
-Dome light (I've been looking at the Evo wiring diagrams but found nothing fruitful)

Any help?

Also FYI, I had a MIT-6 for my old turbo timer which I spliced into instead of the original IGN wires. I can post a diagram again later.

just get the pku mit for a clean and easy install(only one attempt though). I just used the door light for the dome light.

Anybody have any details on how we're supposed to hookup our remote start to the SPDT relay?

There's two options, but I want to confirm if the Evo clutch switch is an Open or Closed Circuit.

85 - +12 Constant
86 - Violet wire from alarm
87 - ?
87a - ?
30 - ?

This is one of the last major things I need to do other than my PKU-MIT (I can still test the functionality with my key). It also looks like I've done everything else right since I have confirmed my Turbo Timer works.

The clutch switch is closed when the pedal is out, open when pushed in. Hence why you can unplug it and the car will start. So there's two wires to the clutch switch, one is always ground the other is ground when the pedals out, open when the pedals in. Take the second of those two wires and cut in in half, switch side goes to 87a car side to 30. When triggered this should put a break in the wire allowing the car to start while maintaining normal clutch operation the rest of the time.

Here, you have three options;
The best is to get another key, this allows the transponder to still work correctly.

The second is to get non-transponder keys cut to use for the ignition and put your working key into a bypass module. Then trigger the module with the ignition wire instead of the remote start status output. Any time the ignition is on it will send the rfid from the key in the box.

Finally you can disable the transponder via flashing the ecu.

Thanks Marcac for the clarification.

So I can wire the relay like Picture 1 and install it anywhere above the the clutch switch in Picture 2. Correct?
