stripped bolt issue!

hi all, hopefully someone can help me,i had some front end damage at the track but heres my issue,im not sure how the bolt got stripped but there are three bolts that hold the lower c member between the radiator support and the sub frame, two at the front and one rearward, the one at the back got stripped somehow, the member got bent pretty badly and was not salvagable so its possible the bolt got bent slightly therefore stripping it when i removed it,without removing the subframe is there a way i can get that sorted,i got a new bolt from mitsu but it still wont go in easily, dont want to strip that on too

No problem man.. Some people may have Im not sure, but best bet would be to drill it out get a tap and re thread it. Google or youtube some videos for like a how-to if you need it. Goodluck.

If you have the proper size tap then Often times you can "clean" the threads up with the tap and reuse the original bolt size. I would try just running it through the threads first. If you drill it you'll definitely have to go up in size on the bolt.

You do realize that every fastener on the car is metric right? Measure the fastener and order a proper rethread tap from mcmaster.com.

If you need to go bigger looking into a helical insert (helicoil is one brand). They typically sell kits and it's very easy to install.
