Front Diff

My front diff is officially toast. My tranny is hurtin'. I like to drag race this car and it's making a lot of power so I can't say that I'm surprised. The final straw was the installation and use of anti-lag and launch control. Actually, I am surprised that it lasted as long as it did.

What upgrades are currently available for the diffentials, TC, and tranny? I'd like to build as bullet proof a drive train as possible. I've looked through several threads and I'm not clear as to what is currently available since I have an immediate need. Open to all suggestions and recomendations. Thanks.

Autronic. It's not real popular in the states but IMO one of the best standalones offered.

Check out this thread as it might be of interest.

Post # 211 and forwards has most of the interesting information.
The theory I read was that the stock diff was the weak point in the TC and the Quaife solves this problem.

You will also see a sign up sheet at the end.

Quaife

Good Luck!

I've read through that entire thread and although useful it doesn't solve my problem since the Quiafe won't be available until March or April. My car is currently on a lift awaiting parts. Is there any option out there today besides stock? Thanks for the responses.

there is something called a phantom grip - www.phantomgrip.com - that can be added to the stock diff to make it almost an LSD (I think this might be what Turbotrix is using). Or you can buy the RS transfer case which is limited slip but I dont know if you can use your ABS with that. As far as gears - Holinger - www.holinger.com.au - makes a bad *** dog engagement gearset. And TRE (team rip - www.teamrip.com) is working on a stronger transfer case. Although I guess (according to Roadrace, and I trust them) with that quaife diff you wont need a stronger case I hope the guys at Roadrace can get the diffs sooner than march, I'm hurting on my front diff too
