I sent a few e-mails about this clutch to SPEC anyone have experience with these? The guys in the SRT forums say this clutch is badass and lasts and lasts. What do you guys think. I need a clutch and they are cheaper then ACT.

Do a search I posted a link to my friends SE-R after his SPEC clutch litterly came apart after 1000 miles.

 

I just had a brand new stage 2 Spec Clutch installed on my Camry. I'm still breaking it in, so no reports yet. It does seem pretty good, though. And the price is a lot better compared to some others. If I were you though, I'd just buy the no-name clutch from Road Race Engineering. That's what I plan on doing when I get my '05 Evo (when the clutch goes, knock on wood). I'll let you know in another week or so how things are going.

 

Can you post a link? I did a search for "spec clutch" and it gave me every post with the word clutch in it. Thanks.

 

had one in my last car & it worked great.

it had a long initial break in of almost 1000 miles, but once it was broken in it worked like a charm.

Take the time to go over to the SR20Forum and see the pics of my friends clutch, he may have just got a bad one but it does not sound like it.

 

Well, I have actually talked to the owner of SPEC before, he was pretty cool, I had questions about their clutch since it was going on my 5-600 whp MR2, so I didnt want any problems. They pretty much guaranteed me I wouldnt have any problems with it. We didnt run the car long, but we didnt have any problems with it. I know a bunch of high hp MR2's that run teh clutch and love it.
