Let me know, read the responses carefully and pick the one that fits ... please relate any other service performed by the dealership if you care to - particularly if it has seemingly fixed your P0300 for now - let us know for how long it's been gone!!!
Thanks!
Thanks!
it's been about 3000 miles and no mis-fire. If you get the dealer flash, your dynoflash gets erased, as well as you can't use your piggy back EMS.
that's the only draw back.
What the dealer flash does is desensitize the sensitivity on the ECU. So even if it does misfire the CEL light wont light up. Unless it's strong.

since the reflash, I would still get the SES light - although not as often.
and when I would get it, it would eventually disappear after about 10 cycles.
and then I would get it again, etc. etc.
about the only "change" I've done was to use NGK BPR7EIXs...did not mess with the gap (whatever it was).
before that, I had been messing with copper plugs (BPR 7, 8, 9! Ess).
also, mine comes on at about -10 vacuum, 80+ miles, 3500+ rpms, 5th gear - ONLY
so in my case, it wasn't "fixed" - it just happens less often now

I had the problem early on first at 1200 miles and then about 2800, both times went to the dealer and had them clear the code, but then changed the plugs to ngk BPR 7es and have not thrown a code since and have almost 20,000 on the car

Seems like a lot of people have been changing their sparkplugs and having good luck with that as a remedy? Better luck than with the dealer re-flashes anyways... and those of us running an aftermarket reflash wouldn't have to worry about getting it overwritten.
