I hope we arent talking about the older M5s. I obliterated one a couple months ago from a 50mph roll-on. I have not raced a new one yet.

Ha ha, It's just like every other car. The EVO fan bois are just too blind and in denial to accept the truth. The Stock EVO is *not* the fastest car in the world. Even a modified EVO is not the fastest car in the world. Of course, there is no way any fan boi will ever accept the truth... I know for a fact that the big German cars with the big engines are hella fast and with the govenors removed the approach 200 mph. That's a fact that's been proven in many magazine articles. The Z06 and other cars like the Viper, Lambos, Ferraris or other exotics are also much faster than the fastest *stock* evo. I've never read any article yet where the EVO top speed (modified or stock) has ever been published to be anywhere near 180 mph, let alone 200 mph. OF course, I have not read every magazine article about the EVO, but I don't think there has been one. Please let me know if I'm wrong and tell me where to read such story. Oh yeah, good luck in trying to out run any serious car on the open road with a stock EVO or STi... It wont happen.

with my 35R running 26psi I pulled from a older model M5(2002) at 4th gear. I jumped about 4 car lengths and kept it like that up to 5th gear around 130mph until I shut down. my car did not pull away at 5th gear nor was he catching up, it was dead even but my guess is at around 150mph he would of slowly caught up...idk Im not sure if it was modded or not but the new 2006 M5 would probably eat me up easily. you would probably need close to 600whp to hang or beat it the current M5. this was on a closed course

I've run a 05-06 M5 from a 70 MPH roll and pulled 3-4 car lengths on it. He was behind me, switched lanes and went WOT. I waited till he was alongside my rear quarter panel before I gunned it...he mananged to stay side by side with me for like 2-3 seconds before I started pulling it....

Afterwards he would not roll up next to me.

Another M5 encounter I've had was with a modded 02-03 M5. This one sure gave me a hard time because the majority of the time I was on his rear bumper, and wasnt about to be shaken off to easily.....it wasnt till the top of 4th I was pulling along side him and slowly pull ahead of him...
