Super charger/ Turbo pics
This Roberto, of Union 7 (www.union7.net).
I may divulge the wokings of the system soon, Or I may not. I and the owner of the car (3240) will have to talk about this. I'm not sure that it profits me in any way to keep it a secret, and in any case a well known shop is going to have MAJOR acess to the car soon, and I will be working with them, so I don't know how long it will be possible to keep it a "secret". All I can say is it is not a complicated control, but is elegant in it's simplicity (of course I wouild think that ;-0 ). I did make a custom made valve, that is rather large because this is a high HP car. I can also say that the transition from sequential to Turbo only is seamless from a seat of pants point of view. You can detect the increase in power once the supercharger is bypassed, on a dyno sheet, but it is very progressive.
I used a 75mm throttle body for the valve, I made a bypass gauge that is piloted from the tps sensor on the valve. This is not toally necessary, but helps in the set-up process.
You can email me my email is on my website.

i suppose i have to have someone host any images I want to post?
for now, i have a low quality picture of the dash pod, someone mentioned they wanted to see it.
someday we plan on doing a magazine article with professional fotos.

I applaud you and your builder. I have never sat on one thread and read completely through the whole thing, especially one this long. The numbers do seem kinda low, but like you stated it is nowhere near its full potential. I would love to see you other cars if able to post pics of them or maybe email me some. I am going to apologize for some of the harsh remarks that have been posted by some of the tards on this site. I am very interested to know what you do/own? Once again, I think what you, and Roberto, have done is great. Obviously not everyone can afford to do this, and most people that can would. I would like to once again thank you for making my, along with some other people on this sites, ideas a reality. Kudos to you for being so generous with the info and the joy rides to complete strangers...
I'm giving the twin charger setup a break for now after damaging another engine. The car is in Chicago with AMS right now. They are currently rebuilding the car using a destroked 4g64 block with aluminum rods, custom pistons, custom crank, etc. The car will run a GT42r with nitrous.
AMS has some great ideas to complete the "twin charger" concept but I want a car that I can race now so we're going with a different setup. After the race season is over the car will go back to AMS and the twin charger setup will be revisited. AMS needs some time to complete and make a few changes to the twin charger setup and I'm giving them all next winter to do it. I just don't want to waste another summer race season.
The car should be complete early June. Look for a 900+awhp Evo with a Hollinger dog box sequential tranny and 10,000 rpm rev limit.
Roberto from Union 7 did a great job with the engineering and fab work but, being a one man show, he couldn't focus all of his time on my car and I didn't want another summer to go to waste. AMS can take some of his ideas and move forward with the concept this winter while I'm skiing!

Wow, well congrats on everything you've done so far with the car, and I really think it's a great move going to AMS. I'm sure they're excited about the twincharger project for next winter... Until then, you'll just have to settle for one of thier AWESOME 900+hp evo setups lol.
I'm sure it'll be sick! I know I'm looking forward to hearing the progress on this car- even if it's not on a twin charge setup. Maybe start another thread to keep us all updated on the new build?
