O.K.
The front resevior tank is for the IC sprayer and the back resevior is for the windshield on the Evo 8.

I'll have mine on auto when I go to the VIR track days this month, I'll probably just refill the tank after each session, hoping that it doesn't run out during the session.

To get a cooler mist, I'd assume that you could drop some ice into the tank? Kinda be like icing the intake rails prior to a drag strip launch... Just a thought..

In my experience, the intercooler spray is more or less a gimmick. It doesn't produce any notable differences in lap or 1/4 mile times for me. The water to be sprayed on the intercooler might cool it down a bit, but in comparison to the circulating air flow and coolant, it really isn't that effective. It does, however, look very cool when showing off your car to other people.

Question for you guys.

What triggers the IC water spray thing on auto mode? I know it's supposed to spray in 5 second intervals for 2 seconds, but what sensor does the car use to sense conditions? Does it use a tach signal, or boost signal? Reason I'm asking is that I have a boost controller on the car, which means the stock boost control solenoid isn't getting boost/vacuum (it's bypassed). Would this make the auto function of the IC sprayer not work?
