The 2 studs are "under" the O2 housing, correct? I think only 1 stud is visible.

Also, how do I get the studs out? After I take them out, do I just drill out the hotside and use bolts/nuts? Thanks guys!

To remove the studs just thread two nuts down on top of each other. Then as you back them out, they'll back the stud out. Don't drill the internally threaded boltholes out on the hotside either. That would be a no-no!

Does anyone have the torque spec for the clamp holding the hotside to the turbo/compressor side?

That nut is a little 10mm one. So don't go crazy on torquing that thing or you'll snap the bolt. Just make sure the clamp has fully seated and then snug the nut good.

Ive done everything so far, and am up to taking the hotside off the compressor housing, but the thing wont budge.

Ive tried hitting it with a screw driver from above, and below, aswell as a chiesel, and nothing. The thing is jamed on hard.

Any tips guys. Im seriously thinking about taking the whole trubo out now.

I soaked mine with PB Blaster, then tapped it lightly with a screw driver then it separated.

ill try letting it soak overnight.

If that dosnt work, its time to drop the coolant and oil, and pull the turbo out

Did anyone have any issues with the bolt/nut with the vband clamp ?

Long story short, turbo back in, working fine, didnt use the original bolt for the vband because it snaped when i was taking it off. Use a dodgy bolt I had in my garage, vband fell off while I was doing some track work.

Purchased a new vband, and screw from a turbo place that specialies in Evo turbos here in Australia, and now it seems the screw is about 2mm, or so to short.

The lenght of the screw is 35mm, does this seem right ?

I am thinking, ill just got to my bolt shop, buy a m6 high tension bolt, add some threadlocker, and use this
