Maybe this new White Rabbit turbo is a MR turbo but with the 6.5 TME titanium turbine/shaft assembly. That would give it the larger compressor housing and blade as well as the 10.5 exhaust housing with the revised wastegate flapper but would have the lightweight rotating assembly. The best of both worlds…

The compressor is a FP design that has been in the works since 2003 if I remember right... the wheel that is...

Zeus,

I guess my question got lost in the hullabaloo here ... so to reiterate:

Do you, or FP, know at what efficiency plateau (%) the WR moves the 700 cfm you alluded to?

Are we sure on the 700CFM #. I mean that is in the 50lb/min range depending on what you are using for caculations. That is a lot of air to be moving. Can we get some data from FP on the specifics of the compressor flow and the efficiency?

I'm not sure you will get this information. I've tried to from a few other vendors on here and have not been successful.

Wow, that's pretty close to the FP Green, which is rated for 730 CFM. How is the transient boost response of this turbo?

For those of you interested, there is another available option to upgrading your stock turbo on your Evo using the compressor side components of the rabbit.

If you have an 03/04 with the standard steel turbine/9.8 housing, it can be upgraded with the compressor side of the rabbit. The cost of the upgrade will be $895.00. If you already have the TME with the ti turbine wheel/10.5 housing, then you can also upgrade the compressor side and have the Rabbit, again, for $895.00. The smaller 9.8 a/r housing will spool a little quicker, however, the steel turbine wheel will more than likely negate that benefit.

Robert is currently upgrading a couple of stock turbos (stock 9.8 and TME) for us to offer on an exchange basis for customers who would like to upgrade here at the shop. As long as the car drives in on a good core, it can drive out on an upgrade. We also have the dyno available for evaluation of the work performed should anyone choose.

I think this is a more cost effective option for most.

Take care,
