I'm wondering if maybe the stock MAF may be having trouble with the airflow, not running out, but metering it...

its amazing how quick you all are to call "scam" or say the wr is dead. At this point i would say the results are inconclusive.

So far all you been hearing that the turbo spools similiar to stock, or the turbo peaks 27-28psi and it tapers of to 21-20psi. That does not sound to promising. I need to see real results before I spend my hard dough.

Its just weird, it shouldn't really taper that much regardless...

This is very dissappointing, they built this turbo up to be the best new upcomming product for the EVO and now it just sucks. If things don't change and people don't figure how to make power with this thing, I feel bad for all the people who wasted their money. I think they should chime in here and explain how they tuned their car, maybe Malibujack is right with the MAF metering it or somthing...

WR test #2

Got a chance to test another WR turbo. This car has similar mods as the other one tested. We never got a chance to run it on racegas but did do some pump gas tunes. The car has 3" turbo back, intercooler piping, hks 272's, aem ems, intake pipe with out maf.

Run# 14 is the stock 03 turbo

Run #10 is the WR turbo

I was suprised to see power gains on pumpgas, after the last WR turbo. I asked the customer if he wanted to run some racegas through it just for comparison's sake but the customer declined. I am starting to wonder maybe not all the WR turbo's are created equal.... guess time will tell.

you guys saying the wr is dead and talking down about it were most likely caught up in the hype over this turbo expecting it to be something it wasn't. From what i've heard, since before most of y'all even knew about it, this is a great roadrace turbo. it's certainly better than stock but maybe not enough for what you have in mind for your cars. It's a good turbo, but y'all are saying snake oil this and that but it's still a tme with just a different compressor cover. How much did you REALLY expect?

i still have my faith in FP and their WR.

Not a lot of tq gain, but look at the area under the curve.....not to mention 30 whp peak and a steady rise from 5k on. A bit more like I expected.

I would love to see it on race gas.

Not to mention in reasonable temps, a good portion of America is sweltering hot right now, TT's Dyno was reading 104. But this is more like it. I would probably go with water/alky injection rather the race gas (way too expensive around here) but you are right on that call....
