EVO 6 TME Vs 10.5 Hotside???

hey,

I'm debating between the evo 6 tme and the 10.5 hotside. i just don't understand the differences between the two (beside the tme being the whole turbo) and the advatages for either one or the other. can anyone help me out? thanks.

the tme has Titantium internals.. the 10.5 has stock internals.. add a 10.5 hotside to your stock turbo and its essential the same size as the tme but it doesnt have any of the internals which decrease spool time..less spool time = greater distribution of power across the band plus less turbo lag. the tme turbo is perfect for autox scenarios.

What are your current mods? the effectiveness of the hotside will grow with the gains. Im thinking:

400whp with a 9.8T = 425whp with a 10.5T .

Also,

325whp with a 9.8T = 330-335 with a 10.5T

Does your hotside have the new or old style wastegate? I can't really see it in the pic.

tme = 975 from BR.

If you have the money go for the tme and sell your stock turbo. I believe turbo does not spool as fast with the 10.5 and not sure how much hp you'll gain.

From what I have read, the WR is made to perform higher up in the RPM range where our stock turbo's begin to lose effeciency. That is the main advantage of the WR. There is a huge WR merge forum in this section.

so the tme spools faster than stock, but what about the 03-04 turbo with a new 10.5 hotside? does that take longer to spool than the stock 03-04 with the 9.8 hotside or is it about the same? also, why is the white rabbit so expensive (i never kept up with that thread and its waaaaayyyyy to long to read now. i'll be there for weeks. )?

The spool might be slightly slower. I install a tubular manifold and O2 housing at the same time as my hotside so my spool was actually faster. The midrange power will be much better with the larger hotside.
