Does it work? Holding 22psi to redline?
The Buschur is about $100 less and holds high boost. They also have the Forge.

Buschur sales both the Forge (looks the same as your link) and their own upgraded actuator. I'm not sure if either are on the website, but you can call Jarrod at (440) 839-1900 and he will take care of you .

Thanks man, I know Buschur makes some really nice parts so I'll have to talk to them.

So which is it? Buschur is using the Forge from what I have heard. Avo is out of Australia, they actually have very competitive pricing when you compare them to US companies. For example before I wised up and had my lower i/c pipe made locally I was looking at theirs instead of the AMS due to it's support brackets. I believe the Avo pipe was going to come out to $200 US shipped.

Just talked to Nick at Buschur and he went and looked at the car to make sure. They are running the Buschur heavy duty actuator.

Need anything else, I'm sure the guys at Buschur can help you out.

Nah I'm good. You might want to let them know it would be a good idea to put this up on their site soon.

Update: Got the ACT installed yesterday and still waiting on the Forge upgraded actuatur spring. Hopefully, we'll get that in and get the car to the track on Wednesday. I'll also post some graphs this weekend from a dyno day held at MZM last weekend to give you some comparisons.

Here are some dyno sheets from the 7/30 Dyno Day at MZM. I've included my sheet from the day before when my clutch started to let go. The new clutch is in and feels great and hopefully the new spring for the actuator will be in this week so that I can run a high boost race map.

EVO and STi Dyno Sheets - Dyno Day 07-30-2005.doc , please right click and save.

BTW, check out the 03 WRX in the link above. It has an STi Spec C motor with the basic bolt-ons and an APS DR65. It made 440 whp (70 more whp than a GT35R EVO at similar boost) at 28 psi on race gas. Compare that to all the other numbers and you'll see the WRX was KING!

Nice numbers on the WR, although it's still falling off quite a bit up top. Can you overlay your WR run with an earlier non-WR run on your car?

The RNR GT35R looks like it is teh suxors.

Your car pulled very well all of the way up, pretty impressive. Who is doing the tuning on your's and Tony's maps? It looks like Tony's map could be cleaned up some if the smoothing feature was set similarly for both.... Not too bad though, and you said that this is a low reading dyno?

Ludikraut, My car has the SS55 prototype turbo, not a WR. I can overlay my pull with a similar stock turbo car if that is what your asking. Also, The GT35R pulls like mad and was running less than 28 psi on 104. The owner hopes that he can do these numbers daily on pump with alky. It probably has another 50 or so whp left in it with C16 and some boost and timing. The thing with the GT35R is the power band is just shifted out 1000 rpm and when it hits, it pulls like mad.

Tony's car was tuned by a combination of Mark from TT and Mohammad from MZM. Mark did the final tune with the alky and Mohammad did the base WR tune. Tony's car has the same problem mine has with the actuator. It shows up more in his dyno run because he was running more boost. I think you'll see his whp hold much better when he gets his upgraded actuator.

Stock 03s are about 185 whp and 05s are about 195 whp to give you an idea. Mohammad's car ran an 11.6 1/4 when he dynoed 336 whp on this dyno.

I should have track numbers later this week. I got my upgraded actuator spring in today and will get it installed this week. Special thanks to Forge and Buschur for helping me figure out and solve the problem.

Hehe, sorry about that ... too many freakin' WR threads out there ... I's gots confused

Yes, I'd be interested in a stock turbo overlay.

If I understand correctly, the WR, BR20G and this SS55 are basically modified stock turbos with an upsized and redesigned compressor wheel. How is it that the vendors are not selling the wheels by themselves? There are lots of turbo shops around that can do the neccessary modifications to fit the wheel and by just selling the wheel, it will bring down the cost of purchase and shipping.
