Here's what your looking at for cost:
$1350 for the turbo
$140 install kit
$175 High boost actuator
I might be wrong on the price.
as for the forge I don't know

I was under the impression that the actuator was included with the install kit, however I could be wrong. I do know for a fact that the current Forge unit or any actuator made for the VIII will not work with the IX turbo.

Dave has already addressed the actuator issue. I know this for a fact, its in this thread somewhere. Im sure you can flip that actuator and get your money back.
Ok, check that it was from the 20g9 thread...

Man I got so excited when I stopped home for lunch.. I had a big box on the kitchen table.. Ended up being something my mom had ordered for my dad.. which shipped to my house to keep him from seeing.
It's not like I can do anything with the turbo until my install kit is in.. but it would be nice to touch it

The EVO8 and EVO9 actuators are NOT the same. The EVO9-20g when bought new from us comes with the new actuator BUT not a high boost actuator.

The turbo will not hold 30 psi of boost regardless of which actuator you choose.
Wait, I re-read you question. Are you asking if running a high boost actuator will allow you to run LESS than 30 psi?

Obviously the turbo cannot hold 30psi, forgive me for being vague.
To offer clarification, should someone wish to run it up to 30psi in the midrange (which is within the capability of the turbo), will this present a problem with the stock boost actuator.

Sorry Ted, I didn't quite get what you were asking
No it won't be a problem, the stock actuator will hit 30 psi and more but it bleeds off more at redline.
