cheapest way into the 11s (my idea)

Buschur stage1 $1310.00
hks 272/272 $650.00
20g Turbo Upgrade $800.00
ECU+ piggy back $700.00
Aquamist meth inj. $300.00
AEM UEGO $375.00
Fuel Pump $100.00
ARP Head Studs $100.00
ACT Clutch / Prostreet fly $700.00
---------------------------------------------------
Total: $5035.00

I'm pretty confident that this setup would go mid 11s on pump.

If I had it all to do over again I know this is definitely what I would do.

That's basically what I'm going to be doing, filling in the gaps.

5 grand seems to be the numbers that people post here, IE "I have 5 grand to spend what should I get?"

If you're handy with a wrench you can do most of the mods and tuning yourself.

thats WAAAAAAY too expensive. terrible idea.

doesn't take half of that crap. i can cut 3k out of that easy and be in 11s.

your title says 'cheapest way to 11s'...thats why what you put is wrong. without a doubt that SHOULD get you to 11s....but its def not even close to the cheapest.

3" downpipe-$225
testpipe with cutout on it-$125
boost controller-$80
safc-$250
10.5 hotside(if you dont have a 05)-$250
272 cams-$500
race gas-$30
tune or wideband o2-$300

total of $1760. can be cheaper if you buy used parts or if you just drop the exhaust behind the downpipe instead of buying a testpipe and cutout.

You'd prob need a fuel pump aswell.

add in a K&N drop in filter and a SS clutch line and I agree totally. except maybe instead of just cams a set of GSC 272 cams

na, i was thinking NO FILTER!

and of course, GSC cams. thats why i put $500 and not $650, i assumed everyone knew HKS cams were a thing of the past!

btw, this LM-1 is kickass. do you know if i can run the 0-5v knock sensor and/or a map sensor to the RPM pickup?

Hell, add the fuel pump and remove the cams (on a 5spd only or a 6spd with raised rev limit).

Yeah, driver mod is the most important, but also the cheapest. Another mod would be a great track, but that's depends on where you are and is not something easily controlled.

I'm not even certain 5 people have hit 11s on those mods yet, but we are still talking about the "cheapest possible way into the 11s," or at least I am.
