Unhappy Help!!!! Clutch Pedal Stuck!!

Ok, heres the thing......About 15 min ago at 6:50 pm, I was on my way home from work (Taco Bell) and I noticed that my shifting became rough. Well my clutch pedal felt too short and weird. So I stopped on the side of the road and look at my clutch pedal. What I found out was weird, my clutch pedal was stuck in the middle. Like my accelerator and brake pedals were higher up than my clutch pedal. What I ended up doing was I lifted my clutch pedal up with my hand and it popped up. I started driving once again and shifting went back to smooth. So technically, what I am trying to ask is what could be wrong and has anyone experienced this. BTW, this is an 05 EB evo with 6,500 miles.

it could be the slave cylinder ...faulty part...thats what happened to my 2003 bby evo at around the same mileage. The clutch pedal just became worse and worse and stuck farther and farther toward the floor, as I had to pull t back p with my foot. Mitsu should replace it...take her in! That what I think it is anyhow ...good luck

Or you could have air in the system, the clutch going by by, alot of other things, check your brake fluid level. I believe the clutch uses the same level/fluid. good luck, and keep us posted!

I have been thru 2 clutches in a short period of time. If it is a twin plate, could have warped a plate, causing this problem. hope it is not, could just be air in the system!

It could also be that the release bearing detached and by lifting the pedal it allowed it to snap in place again and it went back to normal.
