Question HKS BOV Question

Hi guys not sure where to post this but anyways:

Got a Evo 8 and have only mods Blitz Sonic air filter and hks BOV!
Had to take these off for service as its still under factory warrenty here in New Zealand and noticed car seems to drive much smoother now, gear changes!

So do I need a Hks electroinc ignition/air flow stablizer?
How ever the car does not stall nor thought it was expereincing iratic idle problems!

So dont know really, Got another 9 months or so till can start modding, thinking maybe with a 3inch exhaust it would drive heaps better!

No big problem, just wondered if anyone else has a HKS super sequential BOV and what they reckon

Cheers.......................Hayden

no, but be ready for the intake does not add power w/o a tune argument.
doesn't mean i agree though.
if you don't vta, then no need worry about the hks stabilizer.

It is venting to atmosphere though so yeah didnt really think it was a problem until I changed back to factory and noticed it being nicer!

So either have to recirculate or get stabliser you think?

I've driven for about 2,500km like this and hasnt been any idle issues, just suprised me that smoother standard, more annoyed me I guess!

I realsie filter probably wouldnt make a decent difference but the two mods just to get me through through the 9 months of factory warrenty! then modify

but a filter will make the BOV louder if anything and few extra hp, maybe 5 or more I guess

get the recirc kit, unless you really enjoy scarring kids and old people.

Well talked to my tuner today, he really doesnt see a problem, he said the US evo's have different computers and less hp compared to jap spec so may have some difficulties with BOV etc. As mine isnt having any idling problems at all the stabliser and even recirc wont do much so back to the start. He has fitted on many Evo 7 and some 8's here in New Zealand and is a trusted tuner so

Just have to have a play around I think!
P.S Really need exhaut system but 9 months wait till warrenty runs out

Cheers.............
