Best post in the thread!

I will have a large chunk of money comming in within the first couple months of 06 (somewhere between 10K and 30K). If that bonus falls at the low end of the scale it will all be used to pay off bills. If it goes ABOVE 25K I can use the extra money to buy a stroker motor from Buschur Racing.

My wife and I sat down and worked this out together. If I went out and blew up my motor and just said "Hey, I'm getting a stroker and stage 3 head" (how many people missed that he is getting a worked head?) without consulting with my wife I would be on the road to having my old care free life back, that single life I used to have..... but since I am a responsible adult that would never happen.

If I was not expecting any bonus money, and blew up my engine I would be driving a beater car until I scraped up enough money to put in a used stock motor from one of the many people on these boards who has totalled out an EVO and purchased the wreck back from the insurance company. End of story.

You went from a high paying high pressure big city police force to a much lower paying job. You not only did not sell your very expensive car, you continued to spend large amounts of money on it while your wife took on a job. Basicly what that means is that your wife is working to support your car habit, and she will probably not put up with your $hit for much longer. Now that some people have given you $hit about the paypale begging you claim you are just joking.... but the post has not been edited, and the request is still there for all to see.

Due to our new strict policy on name calling I have to leave it at that. I can't call you a CHOAD like I want to.

Keith
No.....this is the best post in the thread.

That's one COMPLETELY RETARTED post. I don't care if the map was tuned perfectly by god himself, it's not right for anyone elses car but yours. You don't mix and match EMS cal files under any circumstances from car to car and make passes.

From what Im reading in this thread, you shouldn't own an EMS since you have no clue how to tune/log/use it. Sell it and put the reflash back on.

Well as you are a vendor I am sure you show your customers how to log and change maps. After having your car on a dyno for 2 days and spending over $3,500.00 at a shop and ONLY having a map that was put in a week later cause the other one made my car slower (2 days on the dyno) and was running 13's. When my car was running 12.1 on stock ecu and $6,200 in my Pocket before all the new mods.

He tuned my car in the staging lanes at the track and he DID NOT do any data logs on my car. Is this what you would have done for your customers? yeah my car ran a 11.9 that day But I put my stock ECU in the next day.....So I paid for a few files and only got one and nobody on here yet said that I got a perfect tune or a good tune.

So if you are saying that I was treated fair as a customer at this tuning shop. Then you are no better then he is.

You are getting dumber and dumber. Just shut the hell up moron. This is a VERY simple point. If I was stupid enough to try a get rich quick scheme and started to lose tons of money... I would have the intelligence to say... maybe this isn't such a good idea anyways. You are too stupid to realize that you got screwed. I dont think there are that many people that looked at your tune anyways.

This is the simple point... You paid a guy to tune your car. It obviously wasnt a good driveability tune but you were stupid enough to try to race it like that. How do you expect anyone to sympathise with stupidity?? Your the one that did it.. whether it be because of a bad tune, bad parts or bad driving... YOU did it. If the tuner blew it up, then I would probably side with you. But they didnt blow it up now did they? Just because you think throwing up all this cash you spent is fun... take a look at mine and see if I am complaining on how much money I have spent just to have the car sit.... Jesus your an idiot.

So OH NO I spent 16.5k on my car and it has sat more than I drove it and it isnt even very fast. Please send me money and free parts because I too am a complete moron!

The cage was made by SW Race Cars. I ordered it on Monday, they made it and got it to me by Thursday. I spend too much money on beer already Alot more than on my car. It is a 10 point cage... I guess i dont know what type of diagram your looking for but this is a small pic of what the cage would be assembled.

They also do make a version that you can use that you dont need to cut holes in the dash to make it fit but then you could have the windshield bars and whatnot right in front of the dash.

Back to the topic. Original poster = moron, plain and simple.

I would guess the tune was a pump gas tune and it was adjusted for race gas at the track.

Im not siding with either you or the shop regarding what you paid for tuning, what was done, the quality of the tune, how fast the car ran, if it blew your motor, or how much he tought you in the process. I could give a rats behind about all of that.

I refuse to sell an EMS to a customer who doesn't already know how to tune a turbo car with a piggyback, read datalogs, and in general be capable of holding his own with the new toy. It seems whoever sold/installed/tuned the EMS for you wasn't looking out for your best interest.

My analogy is selling a standalone to an uninformed evo owner is like selling a pistol to a 9 year old and saying "here, go have fun"
