No, because I F^C&ED it up and I was to blame. I just want people to be careful when they go and get their car tuned. If you illiterate a$$holes read my other thread, I did not blame anyone. There is a lot more to this story that I will not get into.

I'm beating the crap out of mine too. I'm gonna trade it in at 50k. LOL.
I am sorry David but I am going to have to disagree with you. We have seen numerous pistons split in half with no signs of detonation. There is no may the Evo piston is stong enough to handle detonation that can take out a rod bearing. I am not basing this on personal opinion but the opinion of two engine builders, one of which retired after 40 years in the business. To create that much force you would break a piston at the pin or bend the top of the rod which is not very beefy.
Since we have not seen any pictures of the cylinder or head I think we are all left out in the cold to actually make a correct assumption to what happened to this engine.
I still have an issue with 2 gallons of C16 added to whatever was in the tank (which is unknown) and the resultant octane level running on a pure race gas map.
Let's also not forget that this is a alky car so it is also tuned for that.

I cracked my first gear so I think maybe I will just switch to a dogbox with the magnesium tranny case. I could get a used stock one or just rebuilt it but why do that when I could spend so much more (Because all of you guys will hopefully send me free money). Oh yeah, my significant other is kinda mad too if that makes a difference. Please send the money in paypal to stryst@hotmail.com
Grow some ***** and own up to it. No matter how you look at it, you raced it. You blew it. I wouldnt blame anyone if my car grenades, tranny blows, etc... I race it, I know what I am doing and Im smart enough to KNOW that when bad **** happens I can either fix it or drive something else until I can. Why do you need all this money to fix the car? You cant buy a car for $300 to drive until you save up to fix it?!? Grow up.
ps: IF you really NEED some money to fix your car I will sell you a 1991 Astro Van for $400. It is also AWD if you absolutely need that.

Best post in the thread!
I will have a large chunk of money comming in within the first couple months of 06 (somewhere between 10K and 30K). If that bonus falls at the low end of the scale it will all be used to pay off bills. If it goes ABOVE 25K I can use the extra money to buy a stroker motor from Buschur Racing.
My wife and I sat down and worked this out together. If I went out and blew up my motor and just said "Hey, I'm getting a stroker and stage 3 head" (how many people missed that he is getting a worked head?) without consulting with my wife I would be on the road to having my old care free life back, that single life I used to have..... but since I am a responsible adult that would never happen.
If I was not expecting any bonus money, and blew up my engine I would be driving a beater car until I scraped up enough money to put in a used stock motor from one of the many people on these boards who has totalled out an EVO and purchased the wreck back from the insurance company. End of story.
You went from a high paying high pressure big city police force to a much lower paying job. You not only did not sell your very expensive car, you continued to spend large amounts of money on it while your wife took on a job. Basicly what that means is that your wife is working to support your car habit, and she will probably not put up with your $hit for much longer. Now that some people have given you $hit about the paypale begging you claim you are just joking.... but the post has not been edited, and the request is still there for all to see.
Due to our new strict policy on name calling I have to leave it at that. I can't call you a CHOAD like I want to.
Keith
Good luck and I'm definately sorry especially around Xmas time. I know how you feel being a older EVO owner myself and having 4 kids and big mortgage, retirement, braces it get's expensive.
I have big plans for my EVO that I just bought on 11/05, but the EVO has a totally seperate account that is funded through daytrading and overtime. Family first especially if you have children and in the end it's only a car you can always buy another one or buy a different one.
Good luck and merry Xmas.

Great post fourdour and Trinababe that was what I was trying to elude to, but being politically correct about it. I drive a hyundai daily and the EVO is for fun. Like you Keith if I blew the engine there would be no fixing it unless the money was in the "car account" family first!!

i think people are confused about ur financial situation because u made it sound like u were poor in the first thread. u already had money saved up for other projects, so u can't be doing that bad.
u really just made urself look really poor with the mentioning of needing donations, internet sarcasm doesnt work very well, so if it was a joke, nobody saw it!

You know, you bring up a good point, what did you mix your c16 with? How amn gallons were in the car?
oh yea, I'm poor, send me money cause mommy doesn't love me anymore and my dog died and my girlfriend fell off a cliff and got hit by a bus and my car needs new wheels. Send me a PM and I'll give you my paypal account!
ok... I think we all got the point. This is now a worthless thread. A mod should close this thread. He obviously lied (Im so phucking poor, blah blah blah). Now the guy has money saved for a grand national but not the money for a new motor (Even though he already has a spare car??)... I mean jesus. Let the poor bastard ruin his marriage and try to scam decent people out of thier hardearned money. Just dont let him do it here.

ouch!!! Good luck with the new set-up !
