I am sure you read the entire ordeal about how I started using the WR wheels in a specially built turbo. What I didn't write in that story is that the very first EVO9 turbo that was modified I supplied and bought through Mitsubishi for about $1500. This turbo was sent to turobchargers.com and fit with the wheel. The entire 20G wheel was my idea to begin with and using the EVO9 cover to eliminate the surge was also my idea. Well needless to say it worked and worked well. We had a agreement that I was the only one that would get these turbos, between it being my idea and all the work we put into it. Well, he wasn't wise enough to order these EVO9 turbos while Robert at FP was. The first EVO9 turbos that tubochargers.com got I had to buy FROM FP and send to him to have them built. Robert didn't want to do this too many time, I can't blame him and then I tried the other modified turbo with the WR wheel. I told tbochargers.com that as soon as he got in EVO9 turbos I would start using him again. As of even today, he has NO TURBOS IN STOCK AND CAN ADVERTISE LOW WHORED OUT PRICING AS MUCH AS HE LIKES, HE HAS NOTHING TO SELL. I don't even know how the pricing can stick to honest and if it does he has been breaking it off really deep inside me. The pricing that is being advertised right now is LESS than I was paying for them. Him and I had it out yesterday over all this and I am done dealing with him. Any 20G's that come from here from now on will be from FP.

I am an honest man, a man of my word. I don't do business with companies that conduct themselves like this. I am proud to say that I am raising my kids to be like I am.

Sorry to hear that. It totally sucks for a business owner. If you had a written agreement, sue the pants off him. I don't know if it is patentable, but if it is, start up the paperwork and hopefully it's not too late. With a patent pending you have more weight behind a lawsuit.

Theft of IP is not something to be taken lightly.

If turbochargers.com can screw a long-term business partner like Dave at the blink of an eye, I wouldn't trust them not to screw their customers as well. This is so low and they won't be getting my business EVER.

I can't agree more with the above. If we don't support the concept of IP, there will come a day whereby innovation is a thing of the past cause 100% of the companies out there are just waiting to leech off the ideas and labour of others. Hardworking and honest businessmen deserve to profit from their enterprise.

Amen man. It's a good thing you guys did all the R&D for them or they would never have a chance I think it's also pretty funny they don't even physically have the turbo's. I don't want to bash anyone but I had a lot of respect for Dave and if I was looking to buy another 20G-9 I'd get it from him.

A lot of people just want want a low price and I can understand that.. but I think of it being a lot more than that. It's nice to know that the wallet my hard earned money goes into is someone who has done so much for the community.. but I don't think I need to tell most of you this.. you already know

Thanks for the support guys, I truly-truly appreciate it, believe that!

Funny you'd mention copying the install kits Back in the day we were the only ones that offered an install kit to put a 16G turbo on a 2G DSM. Well guess who we sold them to? You got it, same company I am having troubles with now. Sold them 30 pieces at a time. Pretty soon no more orders were coming in from them. Next thing I know I get this pre-packaged bag in the mail from them asking if I'd like to buy this 2G intall kit from THEM! I called and asked WTF was going on and they said, "Well business is business and we got them done cheaper, you should just buy from us." I said, "Let me get this straight, I design an build the plumbing and sell them to you, always kept up on the orders and then YOU copy what I build and want to sell them back to me?" "HELL NO!"

I guess I should have had a clue from that point on what I was dealing with, sometime I am blind no matter how much I am warned. Many of you have warned me in the past, sorry I didn't listen then.

Turbocharger.com/FP

David,

When you first mentioned you were working on the 20G with them, I said I would never buy one. They screwed my car up, cam install, made me pay $ 400 and when I complained the car had less power, the mechanic and I saw the belt was 2 marks off. David (at turbocharger.com) wanted to make me pay for the time spent on the car. Then they used a air gun to install the cam gear on and pushed the cam's dowel pin in. The mechanic drilled through the pin, then tapped it and broke the tap in there, had to drill around the pin and use majic weld to hold it. Talk about a desaster. They also promised me dyno time for free and David (from Turbocharger.com) made me pay for it when I was done. Them Tommey or Tommy or whatever, started insulting me and saying I was a Dum f*ck while I was trying to get this thing straight with David over the phone...........Nice shop......
Once again I work on my own car. They are by far the worst shop I have ever dealt with. And I am no young chicken.

Good move going with FP........

Sigfrid

The deal is like I said, the very first turbo I had built into a 20G-9 was one I bought from Mitsubishi direct, the turbo that is. Then sent to them, had them put the wheel in we worked on together and tested it. No surge, it worked perfectly. Problem was the turbo cost me just short of $1500 to buy then we had to modify it. This was not an option. trubochargers.com had no EVO9 cores. FP did. I bought 7 more EVO9 turbos from FP and had them dropped shipped to tborcharger.com to build into 20g's. So there were a total of 8 turbos built that were 20g-9-6's (6 designates the actual 6 bladed Mitsubishi style wheel). We have since sold probably another 25 or more and those have all been built my FP and are the 20g-9-5 wheels (5 bladed wheels).

With this new crap that has taken place we will not be selling ANYMORE 6 bladed wheels. All of my 20g's will now be built by Robert and have the 5 bladed 20G wheel in them.

deadbeatrec,

You would think that after 40 years of living that I'd know to get something in writing but it's tough to for me to get into the frame of mind that most people are not stand up kind of people. The world is full of more people who will break their word than will keep it. Just this year we had to come up with a written contract for guys we help out "sponsoring". In the past we have helped tons of guys and in the end they can't even put a simple sticker on their car. It makes me sick honestly. If you give you word you keep it, plain and simple.
