20G-9 from buschur.
Here it is. like i said after 5800 the knock sensor kicks the power down due to the f-ed high flow cat that is all banged up inside.

If a nut somehow went down the exhaust and into the cat I don't think it would cause the cat to be significantly more restrictive, unless you are talking about a really big nut! Also, there's nothing unusually restrictive about a Catco cat. That's what Buschur sells with his turbobacks. He has dynoed the difference between a test pipe and a Catco cat at around 8-10 whp at the 300ish whp (Dynojet) level.
Do you have a dyno sheet with your final tune? I assume that you didn't leave with the car knocking on the top end.

the nut has bent the fins in the cat causing a lot of restriction. and aparently cat-co cats are crap because they fall apart.

nice, now get a set a cams and a test pipe! Fix that knock problem! Its funny that you said that b/c i dropped a nut in my down pipe when i did the install! I don't have a cat so i just waited for the car to warm up and then reved the engine until the F'er shot out the muffler! Sounded funny as hell!
The car made good power looking at the chart, especially considering the amount of mods that aren't on the car.
The Catco cats are actually really good. I've been using them for probably 10 years now and haven't had any that I can think of fail or "fall apart".
The lower i/c pipe that we sent you. If you want you can send it back and I will give you a credit for it. I am not suggesting if you have a stock intercooler to just use the stock EVO8 lower pipe. The pipe we send it intended for any of our upgraded intercoolers. When I built it I figured anyone buying the turbo would have already done a FMIC upgrade as it is a cheaper mod/dollar spent/HP gained.
I'd bet your car would gain a solid 10-15 whp at your level of power pulling the cat off. Maybe more if it has been beaten up by a nut flying around in there.

Maybe it appeals to me to go against the grain.....or my last car was all cammed up for a N/A and I just like the idea of an upgraded turbo.....

i will tell u that the turbo hits hard and pulls like a sob. hold 22-23 psi all the way up. looked at my back in the mirro the other day and saw recaro inbeded in my skin from the pull on this thing. like i said i should make about 340whp with that damn cat gone.

deadbeatrec,
It's a really sore subject right now. The other company that screwed me is Turbochargers.com. It's funny that after all the years of me defending them and doing so much business with them that he'd put the screws to me like this.
I am sure you read the entire ordeal about how I started using the WR wheels in a specially built turbo. What I didn't write in that story is that the very first EVO9 turbo that was modified I supplied and bought through Mitsubishi for about $1500. This turbo was sent to turobchargers.com and fit with the wheel. The entire 20G wheel was my idea to begin with and using the EVO9 cover to eliminate the surge was also my idea. Well needless to say it worked and worked well. We had a agreement that I was the only one that would get these turbos, between it being my idea and all the work we put into it. Well, he wasn't wise enough to order these EVO9 turbos while Robert at FP was. The first EVO9 turbos that tubochargers.com got I had to buy FROM FP and send to him to have them built. Robert didn't want to do this too many time, I can't blame him and then I tried the other modified turbo with the WR wheel. I told tbochargers.com that as soon as he got in EVO9 turbos I would start using him again. As of even today, he has NO TURBOS IN STOCK AND CAN ADVERTISE LOW WHORED OUT PRICING AS MUCH AS HE LIKES, HE HAS NOTHING TO SELL. I don't even know how the pricing can stick to honest and if it does he has been breaking it off really deep inside me. The pricing that is being advertised right now is LESS than I was paying for them. Him and I had it out yesterday over all this and I am done dealing with him. Any 20G's that come from here from now on will be from FP.
I am an honest man, a man of my word. I don't do business with companies that conduct themselves like this. I am proud to say that I am raising my kids to be like I am.
