Trans or Tcase

Went to pull in to my driveway turned to the right going slow car stoped
felt like it was binding.Backed up and went forward it seamed ok until I turned
the wheel then it locked up again.I took the left front axel out this morning
and took upper cv joint apart everthing look good .The clips and needle
bearings all looked fine. So what do you think trans or tcase. The car has
62000 mls. on it,I have agt35r with meth triple carbon clutch I do not
do hard launchs with it .The gt35r has been on the motor for 15000 mls
it is a 03 evo

On my tcase the ring gear had some micro cracks in about 4 or 5 of the teeth. I had to replace the whole TCase at about $1800. Plus I had a Quaife front LSD installed at $1500. So about $3200 is your worst case scenario. Assuming the ring and pinion is OK, just to reprofile those and install an LSD (stock cast spider gears probably broke) is maybe $400 plus the LSD.

Jon is quick, they send the "box" to put your TC in, postage paid to him, then he will fix and return it, I have the forged spider gears (Jon hasn't seen one break yet), and it cost me 1500 or so TOTAL!
