You also need custom pistons....

What would the specs on the pistons need to be?

Stroker pistons must be 6mm shorter in order to compensate for the 12mm longer stroke.

Wiseco, JE, and Ross all have pistons for this application, they haven't been "custom" for a couple years now.

FYI - I don't think 4g64's come with oil (piston) squirters. When Road Race built my 2.4, they machined the block to add the oilers. You might want to confer with shops that specialize in 4g64 (Magnus, RRE, etc.)

OK. Can someone answer this question? The 4g64 block can be found in a couple different vehicles, however the few that I have seen the block is oriented in the same configuration that dsm blocks are (when looking into the engine bay, the tranny goes on the left, and the timing belt side is on the right). HOW CAN YOU FIT A 4G64 INTO THE EVO ENGINE BAY?!

this was already answered earlier in this thread.. 4 cyl galants around 99-02 or so as well as the gs 4 cyl eclipse 00-03 or so. As for the oil squirters, it really depends on the application. Street car that is driven daily, sure you may want them. If its a race car, or a weekend warrior, you may prefer the increased oil pressure and the oils squirters are not needed. We dont run in our race motors, nor the ones in some high profile cars.

Thanks Mark! SBR OWNS btw! I have bought almost all my DSM gear from slowboy and I have never been disappointed, they are highly recommended for anything 4G63 related.

It does not have the oil squirters i verified that already. Adding them is not very difficult so they will be going into my block

joeymia, shouldn't your build say "2.4"? the 4G64 is a 2.4block w/100mm stroke. u will also have to add material to the water pump so it bolts up. would be best to do that when u do the oil squirters. my buddy has a shop in AZ that specializes in this motor. if u need help or have ?'s call Jay @ (480) 969-5609. good luck on your build.

No. If you read his posts you'll see that he is using a 4G63 crank and is in effect destroking the block which will give him 2.1L.
