Low oil pressure on Defi BF

Like the title says, I have a really low oil pressure reading on my defi BF gauge. I have the sensor mounted in the head where many others from this board have mounted it. So now for the issue, it reads as low as 1 or 0 at idle after driving for 20-30 minutes. The stock oil pressure warning light has never indicated a problem with low oil pressure. As rpm increases, oil pressure increases. So i find it hard to believe I have a bad oil pump.
My car currently has 15,400 miles on the ODO. Is it possible the sending unit for the defi gauge is causing the problem? Any test I could do to find the source of the problem would be of great help!

John

Try mounting the sensor on plug directly above the oil pan. That location never gave me any problems.

I have mine in the head, and it does the same thing, reads 0 and idle.

Doesn't that get annoying when the warning signal keeps beeping? I just need to get the bolt that goes into the head because i lost it. If anyone knows the part # for this I need it!

My Stewart Warner does the same thing (well its in psi and not bar). Only difference is I have the pressure sender mounted in the blank spot in the oil galley near the oil filter already.

the head is not a good place to tap. There have been threads saying it's a good source, but it's not. Best place is by the oil filter. I made the same mistake, and then swapped to a plug by the oil filter, and all is ok now, and within the factory specs.
