Dude just buy a IX turbo, 90% of the power alone on the IXs is from the turbo itself

our VIII V1 to V2 cams was mainly just micro polishing the lobes. we have no plan of a v2 with the XI we are very confident in them.

These cams will be a drop in no controller option. we would suggest the motec plug in play ecu board or when aem comes out with theres. that will give you mivac control.

Hey Greg
Will these cams be worthwhile on an IX with alky that's already making about 390whp? Can the stock IX turbo push enough to see the full benefits of these cams? If so, that would be close to 420-430whp on the stock turbo...
Yes they will help of course but as you already know when the turbo is maxed out there is not much we can do. you will more than likley see a lot of under the curve power but peak will deffinaly be effect by turbo efficiancy. I do think that range of 420-430 is acheavable on cams and the stock turbo @ 25-26psi. Im pretty sure we will see even more stock turbo ix's with our cams in the 400's than we see with the viii stock turbo and our cams(about 10 VIIIs that i know of).

The 8 Guys probably wont get that large of cam from us. If we do something like a 280 its going to be a race design that will only be sold with our full head.

The 8 Guys do not need to use the 9 280's the lift is different and not paired for the 8 intake cam. They Will work in the 9 but were not designed for the 8

Sorry if this has been asked, but do you forsee any issues with idle on stock flashed ecu or requiring new springs?

only very aggresive cams such as Jun, Revolver etc requier upgrading the valvetrain, you should be fine with the 280s

I see no idle issues with these and a stock ecu is fine. infact with that being the only option for the car right now we made sure of it. We actually adjusted the lift and duration to increase from 1mm to 1mm to hold the valve open longer instead of using a ton more lift. something jun does differently and i really have no idea on revolver as i have never checked them out before. Jun runs a ton of lift with there cams pushing the valve further open instead of using durration to empty the cylinder. Jun makes some awesome hardcore cams for the serious racers. nothing is wrong with there way, it will make great power and always has, but things like idle and low rpm drivability are compromised for peak power. GSC is more interested in area under the curve and a good peak rather than just a High peak.

as far as springs go, as long as the motor is not reved past 8k rpms you wont need them. above that your going to need springs. just like the viii
