Not paying attention to what stock cars dyno

So what is the difference? Last thread I read about it, both Dave and Shiv said that stock IX's where dynoing in the same ballpark as stock VIII's (05's anyways).
Granted, my car was already modded when I did my baseline pull, so I can't comment from any personal expierence.

FWIW, when I got tuned the car before me was a VIII with 255pump, FMIC, cams, MBC, TBE no cat, all hardpiping, intake etc. A full BR stg 4 car. He did 275whp on 93 pump. I went after him with TBE w/ hi-flo cat, MBC, BR intake and did 280whp on 93. Both tuned by Al on Buschur's dyno.

Comparing an VIII to a IX is about the same as comparing an LS1 to a LT1 for the most part.

Girlei
its more like comparing an inferior turbo to a superior turbo (atleast 80% of it is atleast)

the LS1 and LT1 are completely different in structure and material and share no interchangeable parts, so i think that analogy is a little extreme.

+1.

LS1 and LT1 have significant whp differences. Evo 8 vs. 9 only has marginal differences (~20-30whp) mod-for-mod from what I can see.
