funny you mention this... that greddy is only brought up because of brand name... as the type-s is about 98% the same in design and dimension as a stock valve (that i know you love, i love it itoo). the differences being is comes with the pnumatic assist nipples already installed, it's flanged, it's purple and also makes an obnoxious noise when it vents. then you mention other brand names... such as forge and aps... curious guy you are.

If you want to go aftermarket I would go with this one. Originally Posted by 2muchboost

If vta is not good for our cars why do so many people use them? I've seen 400hp time attack cars and 600hp drag cars with vta bov's? Why do they use it? {I'm just wondering} thanx..

Its the forge recirc BOV. It also comes with 3 different springs a soft(green), medium(blue), and hard spring(red). And its easy to switch springs all u use is a allen wrench.

It comes with a yellow as well.
I think it's the softest, but I'm not positive on that.

The yellow is actually the other color for the medium spring. Originally Posted by occultworks

wow... while we're advertising... i say get the dejon tools leak stop kit for the 1g bov, all preassembled for HALF the price of any other piece of crap out there.
you get stock like response when venting and you hold ALL THE BOOST THAT YOU CAN MAKE. sound too good to be true? have your cake and eat it too.

Same reason slicks in the back with skinnys up front dont work with evos - not compatible. The ECU relys on that recirced air to maintain a tune between shiftingOriginally Posted by 2muchboost

im resurrecting an old thread lol
i replaced my stock ix dv with the forge rs recirc because i got tuned for meth, and i read all over that the stock metal ix dv leaks past 25 - 26 psi
the forge flutters all over the place, whether i tighten or loosen it
i went back to the stock bov, better driveability, although im probably leaking boost at 28psi (what im tuned for)
