Odd Idle issue

I searched the archives for any input, but i got none.

When i turn the A/c on, and im at a stop light, the car turns off. I can see my idle go from 800/900 drop to like 700-600. tHIS also happens when i turn my fog lights on. anyone have any idea?

i just got my transfer case, my car had been sitting for over 6 months, but shes running now

anyways, does anyone have any ideA?

What type of BOV do you have? And do you have cams?

Does it vent to the atmosphere or back into the intake.

A recirculating BOV would let the air return back into the intake tube. The Hks has a special part need to do this, did you put it on your self or did you buy the car with it one there? Does the BOV have a tube that runs back into the intake pipe?

If not then 9.9 times out of ten we just narrowed the problem down.

I wouldn't worry too much bout P0300 as long as your plugs are good. I doubt there's many owners who HAVEN'T gotten that code before.

Search VTA. Which from the sounds of it, is what you are running. The AC runs off belts, when the compressor turns on it will "take" some power from the motor.

I suggest getting rid of that BOV and getting one that is recir (IX DV, Forge DV, or APS BOV).

Yes it is. Search. MAF measures air, when you dump that air out in VTA it will cause the ECU to run rich because it thinks the air is there, but isnt. This causes poor driveability, and stalling at stops.

Our DVs also open slightly at idle to allow air back into the intake. In VTA that air is dumped out and this will also cause stalling at idle.

Unless you go to MAP you have to recir for MAF - period.

1. get a new BOV/DV. (recirculating)
2. check vacuum lines

Use a diverter valve that recirculates, and not a BOV or live with the fact that you will ALWAYS have gremlins.

You can still get that RICE BOY sound will a Forge diverter valve and a Buschur cone filter on the OE intake tube. Matter of fact, it can be loud as hell.

Check all your vac lines... also, are you tuned for all your mods?
