evo 8 turbo vs evo 9 turbo
for people with experince
between the evo 8 and 9 turbo. does the 9 turbo spool faster or slower then the 8 turbo.
does it hit full boost sooner or later the the 8 turbo. how much later???
does it tapper boost as much, less, or more then the 8 turbo??? if it tappers how bad iis it. what kind of boost are you holding at redline. what boost are you running.
thanks

I would think you need to increase the fuel, and decrease timing, to accomodate the slightly larger turbo to prevent detonation? Or am I completely off?

I guess from what you said, there might be small gains, but most will be auto-compensated by the ECU anyway.

HKS 272/272's at 0/0 idle pretty well. I tuned a car last night with buddy club 272/272's and cam gears at -2/-3. When it came to me it was a little choppy. After I tuned it via a flash it purrs like a kitten. It's not really a big secret on how to make them idle well, although every car is a little different. Ign timing changes and idle RPM changes can go a long way to making a smooth idle.

I just finished putting mine in and came by from the dyno.
It is incredible how much FASTER the evo 9 turbo spools up over the 8. that is the first thing i felt. and the power transition is much smoother, and it holds more boost to redline. i love this turbo!
