The IX turbo on an VIII does not spool faster than the VIII turbo. The earliest I could get mine to hit 21psi was 3200rpm with my gears set to +1/-1.

Here's a link which contains the curve as registered by my MAP sensor with the gears set to -2/-2.

The curve looked very similar at -4/-1 as well. Peak boost hits at about 3600rpm. Here's the graph using -4/-1.

 

Allrite so what's the verdict on the point of switching from a 05 turbo to a ix turbo, some ppl say 20 whp untuned and some people like mr buschur say minimal gains 3whp

 

hmm I cant see you gaining 20hp from just a bigger turbine housing??

 

The verdict is there is more useable power. The peak numbers might not be far from one another but the useable powerband is better with the 9 turbo especially up top.

 

So what do u think would give me better gains, ix turbo fuel pump n custom flash, or bushur tbe fuel pump n custom flash? Thank u

 

you should always do the basic bolt-ons like a turbo-back before upgrading your turbo IMHO. i'd do at least TBE, pump, flash, MBC, and cams(even an intake) before thinking of a turbo upgrade.
