HI guys,

tonite I was sooo tired and nervous, when I try to race with this M3......we both stop...at the lights...I guess I juz wasn't ready for it....I can't rem...I think was in 2 or 4 gear..... ..cuase when we stop..I juz step on the clutch....I didn't realized I am on 2 or 4 gear..I though I was in first...so..I try to hold the rpm around 5 k rpm.....I was holding on for it bit....then I see the white somke start to come out from the car.......then I stop reving it..... ......did I broke anything or burn anything.....man..I am soo nervous that I did something bad for the engine...Help me out guys...I can't sleep now....thanks...

 

ok..... if the clutch was in it doesnt matter what gear you were in, but if you tried to launch in 4th you would either stall right away or just be burning the clutch to death, in 2nd it would be the same story to a lesser extent

did you try to launch or did the smoke just happen while you were revving it?

 

I was reving it....trying to lanuch it....... .

yeah...I didn't lanuch it.....when I saw the white smoke...I juz let go.....

 

well thats not good, ya got me thou i have no idea, other than its either something really bad, or the engine didnt warm up that high and you had some resudue on the exhaust manifold or block that started to smoke when it got hot

 

thanks for helping me out....well...the car was warm up for sure......I been runing around nearly 15 min at high speed... what is resudue on the exhaust manifold....do you think I should take it back to the dealer?????.............I am really worry now...

 

i ment a coating of something, like if you accidently spilled something in the engine bay, if it does it again i would deff take it back to have them check, but you might want to take it back now just to be sure

 

SUp man...thanks for helping me out......I alredy took it back to the dealer.....and they took a look at it...they said it ok...but..they juz test drove it and check all the fluid...that it....there are actually some spill in the engine bay....so...I don't know if I did that or something.....thanks....
