What pistons and Rods?
Wiseco 1400hd with carrillo with carr bolts here! Stock bore pistons.
Extrmely quiet even that we run them on the loose side.
JEs are nice but quite noisy.
I wouldn't get cheap on such important parts.
I had a thread some time ago with weights and stuff. If I remember correctly the weight difference between my carrillo rods and e.g. The Manley turbo tuff rods which are very strong, is over 400gr for all four rods. Does it make a difference on the way the motor revs? Hell yeah! My car revs all the way to 9000rpm like a motorcycle!
Ohhh my motor is full acl bearings, arp main studs, l19 studs fully balanced by the Shop and headway performance....

The wisecos are 4032 and require being setup tight to prevent blowby becuase of their expansion rate. I have also seen the skirts crack on them, wrist pin issues, etc. I would run the JE at 5-5.5 thou piston to wall for 600whp. If you are going to go higher the 5.5 side is better. Get them lateral gas ported and then they will still seal pretty well.

Thats from a vendor's website and thats what all vendors have for these particular pistons:
"The 1400HD line of pistons has been developed for extremely high horsepower applications. They utilize a 2618 alloy which is the strongest available on the market today and include .225" tool steel wristpins and heavy duty rings to complete the ultimate 4g63 piston!"
On average they are about 100 dollars more expensive than the standard Wisecos!
But even the standard ones are made from 2618 forging... Maybe you are looking at older versions maybe?
JE/SRP line up and Mahle are the only two I know of right now running 4032. It is a very durable, tough, light weight material that will satisfy 95% of the guys here in EVOM.
2618 is more the standard now a days, Manley, Wiseco, JE, etc. all favor this material. The Wiseco HD does have the better wrist pin as someone already said, and we have run this piston well over 1000 HP..
Simple, easy, great combo for this HP level!
So many good manufactures, so little time and money

What about the Manley H Beam rods with Wiseco pistons, is this a good combo for 600whp and revs to 8500rpm
