How's your drivability with the TiAl on stock ECU?

Yeah that Tial holds serious boost. I was wondering the same Tom, does it open under light boost applications or does it give compresser surge from not being able to open under low boost?

Also what BOV did you run before the TIAL?

I ran a stock EVO9 BOV before. The Tial is tricky. If youre going to run it without EMS you must use the stiffest spring. Now with that said, you are going to experience compressor surge more easily, however its not bad. It is BAD on the highway though. The parkway is not fun to drive on simply because you have to learn to hold your speed steady. If you build 5psi let says you have to let off the gas immediately to let it release the air or the car will buck. I dont drive on the highway at all anymore (except when I chased the Lambo and Z06 on there )

I honestly dont reccomend it unless you have EMS. I got it because it sounds downright nasty and it holds the boost. To me, getting rid of it at this point since I already have it would be more expensive and a pain in the ***. If I did it all over again, Id get a Forge or something similar that had better driveability, reciruculated and that could hold 30psi of boost.

Great input. I obviously have the IX BOV, you think it'll hold 24PSI without leaking? what is it rated too?

It will hold 24psi no problem. I tested mine up to 26psi then it started to leak a little.

A valve that will hold the boost is great and all. But a valve that holds high levels of boost and is driveable is a rare find.

I run the Forge recirculated (like Tom mentioned earlier) and am very happy with it's boost holding and am especially happy with its driveability.

Anyone know if I could run the ^^^ Forge recirculated while still on stock ECU with good results?

The stock ECU most definitely prefers recirc setups. You should be just fine on the stock ECU. I thought this was pretty common knowledge but am more than happy to let you know.

I run the Forge RS recirc and love it.

Forge RS? Absolutely. Plenty of people (myself included) run it on the stock ECU. It's a quality piece. Anodized black is trick and definitely the one to get.

^^ Sure, it's possible, but you won't see maximum gains from it as I would surmise that it would be the weakest link in the equation. I'd expect the stock 8 bov to start leaking around 25psi.

Are you talking about the stock plastic BOV? I have seen stories of people saying it holds boost to 21psi and others saying it started leaking around 8-10psi.

The Forge RS valve is a thing of beauty. Mine is going on when I get the green installed.

My 2c.
Ive bench tested the 2003 plastic bov and it leaks @12psi
JDM/MR/EVOIX bov leaks @24-25psi
Forge RS great psi holding , but i had bucking and chuffing so iam back to the EvoIX bov .
Side note Forge customer service is great !!
