What are the differences between a 5-speed or 6-speed clutch?

I've notice every time I do a search for a clutch kit for my 05 MR i get a million Evo VIII kits but out of the million only one says its meant for the 6-speed. Is there any differences between a 5-speed or 6-speed clutch kit?

i work in mitsu parts and the the only thing different between a 05 GSR and MR are the disc. The pressure plate and bearing are the same unless you go with a 06. Talk to other Mr owners with aftermarket clutchs and see what they have and if it works.

Thanks man i appreciate it. It seems wierd when you see some companies say that they don't work for the MR's. thats why I was confused. Is the stock clutch in a MR better than the GSR's?

Pm ACTman and ask him about the ACT clutches. He's the president of the company and is very helpful. I'm sure he can help.

As far as I know there is no difference for aftermarket clutches on the 5sp and 6sp, with the exception of Tilton clutches because they use a different type of release bearing which doesn't fit on the 6sp (because the tranny takes up more space).
