240Z, you can't read can you. We have been running these cams for about 6 months. I have them in a BUNCH of different cars. If you took the time to READ what I spent my time typing you'd see I gave quite a few examples. IN the LAST paragraph I wasted my time trying to explain something to YOU in I said JARROD (who is NOT my brother) with a STOCK head gained 40+ whp and TQ.

Please get off your lazy *** and build an EVO faster than mine so I will finally STFU. It would save me a lot of time, then I could just defer all the stupid comments and questions to you as at that point you would have proven just what it is that you know.

Another 5 minutes of my life completely wasted.........................

These cams will not make as much power as the smaller cams do on the smaller turbos. I never suggest buying a part twice.

I have still never ran a 50 trim, never dyno'd one, never even scene one. We are still waiting on our housings. I have no idea if they'd work out good with a 50 trim. A 50 trim is about the size of the green so I am going to guess no, they will not work well. It is a guess.

If you didn't think I could read then you would know not to ask the question. I said that I apologize and you are clearly smarter than everyone else on this forum and have the fastest car. I even quoted you in my signature just to remind myself of that fact. I should never have questioned your setting the cam timing to zero as you are right by default. Why even bother trying to beat you, it isn't possible. Your technical abilities and solid approach to application develop is mind blowing. Again, keep up the good work and mark me down for a set when you develop them for the IX.

Those three different GSC cams are intended for three different configurations (one size does not fit all), so one wouldn't need to test all of them. I believe the only pertinent GSC grind in this discussion is the "S3", which is a custom grind anyway.

Just FYI

One problem you will have is not enough turbo for these cams

FYI
I don't think you answered anything with that post
so here I go again...

David, for those of us who have upgraded springs and retainers already such as crower, or any other single spring/ retainer design, what problems could we confront with your cams?

If I was going to build a set of cams that were designed to run straight up "0" regardless of whether it was a 2.3 liter, or 2.0 liter, or a drag queen or road king..... here's what I'd use

272 deg
235 deg @ 1mm
Lift - 10.8mm
Centerlines - 110 deg Int / 115 deg Exh
LSA - 112.5 deg

But since I'm just an internet bench racer, Dave you're still the baddest and fastest **** on this forum!

I guess it's by no small coincidence that you quoted the exact specs for JUN 272s?

lol

If your springs are not up to the task of these cams you may bend the valves in the cylinder head.

Cool, thanks for the answer. I am running the AMS 50 trim, race head and GSC 272's (Evo 8) so I was curious if stepping it up would help the top end even more.

Keep up the good work.

OK, let me ask this directly, I have Crower springs and retainers, would these withstand the higher lift and ramp rate of your cams vs HKS 272's ?
