MD has a program they give you with weights and HP@50 on it. Just curious, not busting ***** or anything. The power you are making is VERY high for a reflashed ECU and that turbo. My guess is the dyno is altered compared to ours.
Or maybe you just dont give that flashed ECU enough credit

We'll find out soon because Ill be running Adam for comparison and he will have Revolvers/AEM against my HKS/ECUFlash combo both on the Green

soon2beevo,

The stock computer is a fine piece of equipment but will NOT make as much power as the AEM, if some of the important safety features are "turned off" it's a different story with the stock ECU. Even then the MAF is a restriction.

I can personaly confirm this staement...If you have the money, get the AEM....even on the stock turbo and ecu running 11.8s I can feel a big difference with the addition of the AEM and deletion of the MAF!

Yeah I definitely agree the AEM is superior in terms of making power, just so expensive for that extra little power that most of us have on stock turbo or maybe the Green. If Adam's car kicks my *** with Revolvers and AEM, I will look into it much harder

MAF a restriction? It cant be because Shiv said it isnt

Thank you very much Mr. Buschur, .
I am very happy with the 20G LT I got from you and with the performance improvements it made to the car.
I did a couple of reviews about it since day one in here on EvoM, and other local sites I am signed on with. Is a good feeling to spread good news around!

About the Dyno, I am tired of the argument about it. Some say that your Dyno reads low, others that CFT Dyno reads hi. You know very well first hand everyone wants to be right in here. I feel bad for you some times because I see that no matter what you do, still that is not good enough. Same goes for others like my self. I spend the money to buy the parts, install them, tune them, and plot them for review, and then still get alot disposition to incredulity. It is not like 20 HP is going to make or break any land speed record!

But, for the most part, we get alot of possitive feedback and support. I think that is what keeps good people like us and so many others here on EvoM moving forward , and helping the Evo community at large.

it would help if the guys running the 20glt would list their supporting mods in their sig, otherwise the dyno numbers don't say much about the turbo.

15 line signatures are for pole smoking bean bag huggers, IMO. All of my mods can be found on my website, linked to from my screen name in every post, if anyone was looking for them.

I just want to know the cause of the tq drop off im still learning here. Will have the same result with my 2.3 stroker. Is there a way to improve a more flatter tq cure of is this the result of the turbo
A lot of the torque fall off is because of the boost tapering. You have your peak torque when the boost spikes and as it falls off your torque does too. If you can efficiently hold more boost, the torque curve will be flatter and you'll make more horsepower. That's why bigger turbos have flatter curves, that come in later in the rpm's, and usually make more a decent more horsepower than torque.

Ok that's it! I'm going to upgrade my 20G-9-5. I'm wondering if HKS264's would cause a drop in power like I get on the 20G-9-5? I know some 280's would definately help out but the cost to gain isn't as nice as upgrading the turbo :\

I am currently running HKS 264's and my turbo is at FP right now being changed over to the FPEvoGreen. I think just like on your 20g and on the stock turbo, the 264's will make the mid range shine, but it'll still drop off power up top. I plan to try this turbo on the HKS cams first, then possibly switch to some bigger cams if I don't like the results.

The Revolvers are working very good on a 2 liter with the green. The HKS 280's are also working exceptionally well. The car I did on pump gas Friday was with the HKS 280's, 394 whp. It is going to end up running E85 as soon as the owner gets it in his area. I think his car will then set a record for the Green turbo (other than my own car on C16)

I upgraded from HKS 272s to 280s yesterday. So far I've had to take out some fuel in the midrange and add a few percent up top. Idle's the same. Seems like a step in the right direction considering I do mostly drag racing. I'd have liked to try revovlers, but they're too much of a pain in the *** to find, and I'm too lazy to swap springs without having the head out for more important reasons...

Edit> Forgot to add, boost at high rpm dropped about 1 psi with the switch to the 280s, so that is yet another indicator that top end airflow has increased somewhat.
