AMS TBE IX MR rubbing

i have the ams tbe w/hfc and the downpipe rubs on the transmission sometimes and the back of the cat pipe touches a bolt for the heat shield. Does anyone elses do this. It doesnt do it all the time though. Should i just get some exhaust wrap to stop the noise from the rub??

I would say call AMS. This is probably an issue that only occurs every so often since you don't hear about it happening all the time.

Get use to it, it's common when going to a 3 inch pipping. I mean it could be an install problem, but mine rubs and it's a little annoying, but not causing any damage.

if the downpipe is rubbing the trans you most like just need to realign the system.

You cant just bolt it all up and tighten it down, you should loosen it up and readjust it where you want it to line up.

if its a IX you are more then likely rubbing on the bolt for the driveshaft carrier bearing heat sheild. I removed the sheild on mine and bent the bolt out of the way. I have a resonated test pipe so I have even less clearance but after that I had no contact issues of any kind.
