I doubt it, seeing that some of the fastest Evo's use the OEM intaek box. I believe the biggest result from an intaek filter is the removal of about 1.5 PSI pressure drop which really won't effect things until the turbo begins to drop off up top. So you just want a filter that won't effect the MAF negatively, which the Buschur and the APEXi unit are designed for.

 

i have the AEM short ram and i think it was one of my best mods, great suction noise made nice power

 

I have the Apexi and love it, sounds like a vacuum under the hood when I get on it.
