weird noise from clutch

THere is no god way to discribe this noise but i will do my best

I have the Exedy Twin disc racing clutch, it was installed about 10 months ago. and it just started to make the noise about 2 months ago.

ok first this noise only happens 2 to 3 times a day. It happens when i am at a complete stop and start to let off the clutch. once the clutch starts to grip (not completely on the clutch and not completely releasing the clutch, about half way) the clutch makes a sound best described by one of my friends like 'Chewbacca' from the movie Star Wars. But it is loud, like you could hear it half a block away.

Now i am not sure if it is the clutch or the transmission, i guess it could be the differential or the transfer case.

Basically i am wanting feedback on anyone that has this noise and/or has gotten it fixed, what it was.

does it sound like clutch chatter or a bad throw out bearing?

Why dont you take it back to the shop and explain it to them to see what they can do for you?

I'm going through something weird too. I have about 6K on my exedy twin. This just started about 3 weeks ago. Sometimes...about once a day I will come to a complete stop and then when I let off the clutch, or go to engage the clutch it begins to make this really load vibration....like the clutch plates are banging the hell out of each other. I then pump the clutch a couple times really fast and it goes away. The car will move when this happens, but OMG is it loud! It also happened when I was drifting into a car wash and hit a bump. Just happens randomly. Is this the sound you are talking about? I want to record it but everytime it happens I am out driving.

Made a post and here is the link for more detail:
