Its fixed!

Well - the post mentioning the timing belt was correct.

Word for word from the invoice: "Noise coming from timing belt due to timing belt in too far hitting against crank sensor blade. Replaced timing belt, tensioner pulley arm and crank sensor plate."

Parts replaced: Crankshaft blade, timing belt, timing belt pulley and cylinder bracket

Advisor told me the timing belt pulley may have been machined incorrectly

Maybe this should be sticky as it seems a few other IX have a similar issue?

Gonna take mine to the dealer too! This noise is embarassing. How long did it take them to fix?

Just noticed mine was making the same noise. I changed my oil thinking that had somthing to do with it. Got on the forums and found this. It sounds exactly like the vid in page1. I thought I was driving it to hard or sumtin. Is there any negative long term affects of this cause im like 2hours from the stealership? O almost 7k on the car BTW

What ever happened with people that had this replaced? Still have the noise? I am debating to take mine in or not. Same noise, same thing.

Just swapped out cams and noise is gone...I think my timing belt may have been a bit too tight...I'll keep my fingers crossed...let's me know it's nothing too major.
