For those interested in the design of endtanks. While most just built a box and stick a tube in the end for shortest IC pipe routing, this guy found a properly designed end tank can increase performance quite nicely. I did some searching around for people using his coolers and found a post somewhere that his endtank design netted 18whp over the classic welded box tank design using the same core. He has a cooler for the evo8 but you have to cut the heck out of the bumper to make it fit.

I've read this (have it saved on my desktop) and must say it's impressive how much the cast volute end tank flows compared to the boxy sheet metal. Not many vendors offer this style of end tank, and I assume it's a cost issue (I've seen cast end tanks being blasted in a few threads for reasons I do not know). The Nisei comes to mind. Hopefully, I'm not lambasted for stating that I wouldn't consider the sheet metal style intercooler as a replacement when I upgrade.
