mpevo8, you don't sound stupid at all. The car is doing great. The engine has been trouble free all year long, not a single problem.

Trent has had the trans freshed up once, broken a transfer case and now the car is sitting at the shop waiting to have the drivers side axle replaced, he broke that last week. The car has been at the drag strip atleast once a week all summer long and is mostly run on pump gas. It is fairly consistent at running 10.6's at 134.xx on straight 93.

How many drivetrain failures have occured on Trent's car? Is what you listed above all of them?

I'm just curious because I've gone through 3 transfer cases in the last year. None of them were new so that might be part of the problem but I'm just curious how a car of yours copes with frequent trips to the drag strip at this power level.

Is there anything you do to improve the strength of the transfer case internals? Or maybe the output shaft from gearbox to transfer case?

Mine isn't out but has made some slight whining with about 3 track outtings each with about 4-6 runs.

I think mine is due to lots of HP and a track that started out sticky but went away quickly leading to lots of spin in 1st and probably a tad bit of hop that i couldn't hear or feel.

I'm torn whether or not to continue to race it since winter is coming or just yank the TC out and sent it to Shep or the guys at Buschur.

Yes, that is all the failures Trent has ever had, before this year he had none.
